Last week, Emma and Charlie from the Honest team headed to Spring Fair at the NEC in Birmingham to discover the hottest products and trends in the world of gardening and homeware for this year. Here’s what we got up to!
The first stop was to visit our client Seedball’s stand where they were showcasing their new beautifully illustrated seedball tubes, Make Your Own kits, and new bee tins, as well as their ever-popular seed ball grab bags and tins. We got to chat more about all the exciting plans in the pipeline for the coming year and see the buzzing interest of the stand.
Next, we took a walk around all the exhibits, noting all the newest products on the market and the wide range of brands. One thing that stood out in particular was the emphasis on sustainability. New brands focusing on sustainable manufacturing, packaging, and products were prominent, as well as established brands changing their practices to become more eco-friendly. With sustainability and honesty at the core of our agency, this was great to see and a really positive sign for the industry.
Chatting with the Connect team, we learnt about the launch of Connect that will come into play at the Autumn Fair, where you can book a 15-minute slot in advance with your favourite exhibitors to get more quality one-to-one time. They are expecting to schedule an impressive 6,000+ meetings – we’re looking forward to seeing this in action! While at the Connect stand, we played hook-a-duck to be in win the chance of winning a free coffee and some popcorn. The Honest team are no stranger to a fun game, so won not just one but two coffees!
Dropping into a few seminars, we topped up our knowledge on Digital Marketing from leading marketing expert Simon Kingsnorth who shared predictions on how social media will change in 2023, the rise of influencer marketing, and important changes to Google Analytics. At Honest, we are always staying up to date with the latest trends and technology, so this was a great refresher to prepare us for the year ahead.
We’re looking forward to attending Autumn Fair this September. If you’re planning on visiting or exhibiting, it would be great to catch up over a coffee, so drop us a message – we’d love to hear from you!
