Honest don’t do press events by halves!

Honest Communications, a specialist garden and home PR agency, social media management, content creation and communications agency

When it comes to finding a destination for a press event for a gardening brand, nowhere is more perfect than the jaw-dropping Syon Estate.

Which is exactly where our recent event was held!

Our client Hillier owns a whole host of garden centres in the south and is regularly expanding its retail portfolio by opening new centres. The latest was particularly special.

Hillier now owns the Syon Park Garden Centre, based in West London and just nearby to the iconic Kew Gardens.

With an amazing stately home backdrop and one of the most incredible conservatories you’ll ever see, Hillier Syon Park is a sight to behold.

The work that the Hillier team have done to transform the centre is incredible too, so we couldn’t wait to show it all off.

We invited an array of journalists and social media influencers to the centre for an exclusive after-hours event where they could explore the centre at their leisure, speak to key members of the Hillier team and, of course, sample the catering on offer in the centre’s Clocktower Café and Courtyard Restaurant!

It truly is a garden centre like no other that has to be seen to be fully appreciated. Steeped in history, the centre has a phenomenal butchers and farm shop that specialises in local produce, a vast retail and gift area that we really had to restrain ourselves from shopping in, a hugely Instragrammable houseplant area and an outdoor plant section that gets even the least green-fingered person desperate to buy something.

As with any press event, time flew past and before we knew it, we were saying goodbye to final guests. We’ve since been following up with everyone and have had some lovely feedback, it seems that everyone loves the new Syon centre just as much as we do, if not more (if that’s possible). We’ve also had lots of enquiries from people who were unable to join us but who would still like a tour so we’ll be popping back very soon – what a shame!!
