Last week, Saltex 2023 took centre stage in the grounds management industry and we were thrilled to have several clients showcasing their latest innovations and product ranges at the show.
Saltex is one of Europe’s largest grounds management shows and has been the go-to destination to discover the latest launches and industry trends for 77 years and this year was no different! The show attracts over 400 exhibitors and 8,000 attendees who gather to share their insights and innovations, so we got a firsthand look at the most significant developments that are shaping the industry.
As always, one of the highlights of the show was a sneak peek at the exciting new products launching to market next season. Companies showcased cutting-edge equipment, technology, and tools designed to enhance efficiency and sustainability…and our clients Cobra and Henchman were no exception! Kerry and Holly headed down to the NEC Birmingham to check out new product launches.
Cobra’s New Fortis Mower Powered by EGO Power+
If you’re a lawncare fanatic, you’ve probably heard of Cobra’s reputation for pushing the boundaries of innovation in the garden machinery world. Our first stop was the Cobra stand where they were showcasing their incredible tools such as their extensive range of lawnmowers including the ride on tractors that we launched earlier this year.
Earlier this year, Cobra made waves with the launch of their brand-new Fortis cylinder range which aren’t just your run-of-the-mill mowers. The range is an eight-in-one powerhouse, offering the ultimate package for those seeking picture-perfect, healthy lawns all year round. It’s the very first cylinder mower to grace the Cobra lineup, and it’s been creating quite a buzz. Since the launch, we’ve already secured over 15 features in top titles such as The English Garden, Garden News and LAPU! The Fortis range has eight interchangeable cartridges that cover every lawn maintenance task from aerating and scarifying, to weeding and dethatching. The moment the range was released, it garnered attention from delighted customers, curious journalists, and product reviewers who couldn’t help but sing its praises.
At Saltex, the Cobra team had a surprise in store, and it got everyone talking. They unveiled an exciting new collaboration that’s set to take the Fortis range to a whole new level. Cobra has joined forces with none other than EGO Power+, fellow garden machinery brand renowned for its exceptional battery performance. EGO’s reputation for delivering cutting-edge battery technology is the perfect match for the Fortis range and together, they’re set to make lawncare not just convenient and precise, but also eco-friendly and powerful. The powered by EGO mowers offer the same accuracy and quality as the original petrol-powered range but are longer lasting, more sustainable, and environmentally friendly.

Henchman’s New Easy Lift Harness
Next up we stopped by the Henchman stand to take a look at its premium Tripod and Hi-Step Platform ladders. Holly was even brave enough to test out the 14ft ladder and got a view of the show from a new height!
In the world of grounds maintenance, the right equipment can make all the difference to the efficiency and ease of work. On the stand, the Henchman team were showcasing their new Easy Lift Harness designed to completely change the way professionals approach tasks that involve working at height or with heavy tools. The team gave us an in-depth look at the new product specifications so let’s dive into the features that make this harness a game-changer:

At Honest we love a client collaboration, so when Henchman was looking for tools to demonstrate the harness on the stand, we knew who to ask! We enjoyed seeing the Cobra hedgetrimmer being beautifully modelled by the Henchman mannequin.
